Educate

Education is the process of facilitating learning, the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs, habits, and personal development through the teaching we provide, our curriculum and leadership.

We are committed to educating the whole child and believe that every child should achieve their potential, intellectually, socially, and emotionally, be culturally aware and be known and cared for as an individual.

We believe that outcomes are paramount and are the product of strong academic progress and an outstanding education. We also believe that children have a right to high-quality teaching and to gain knowledge, develop new skills, experiences and values which prepare them fully for life in modern Britain.

We will, through the education we provide, nurture within our children a strong sense of self, developing their talents, moral beliefs, integrity, and tolerance, as well as the principles that define us as individuals and enable us to act ethically, with respect for others and our environment, to build positive relationships and a sustainable world.

We aspire to ensure the education provided by our schools is forward-thinking and outward-looking, where aspirations are high and ambitions unlimited. We are a confident community, where teaching is inspirational, every individual is valued, and pupils are proud of their school.

We will enable leaders and schools to be ambitious in the education we offer, by providing them with the best research-based and classroom-tested strategies and knowledge, to make a difference to children’s lives.

Empower

Empowerment is the process of becoming more informed, stronger, and confident. Empowerment as action refers to both the process of self-empowerment and to professional support of individuals which enables them to bring about the change we seek, within classrooms, communities, across our schools and within our Trust.

We are committed to the empowerment of our leaders, teachers, support staff, members of the Executive, Central Team, Trustees, and members of the Local Governance Committees by ensuring they feel valued and supported while providing them with the absolute best professional development. As a result, the expertise, knowledge, and skills they acquire will help them to lead change ethically and effectively within their classroom and school.

Governance at all levels will be encouraged to empower the growth of the Trust further to develop an inclusive, collaborative, and cutting-edge organisation that engages in the pursuit of excellence for all young people, irrespective of background or ability.

Trustees will ensure clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction. They will empower leaders and hold the Executive to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, as well as the performance management of colleagues. Trustees will be supported by Local Governance Committees (LGC) in monitoring the work of each school and pupils’ progress.

We will provide induction for new Trustees and members of the Local Governing Committees on taking up their appointments. We will empower colleagues by providing outstanding continuing professional development; priority will be given to aligning individual professional development to the Trust Board’s development priorities as identified in the Board self-evaluation.

Engage

Engagement is the process of emotional commitment by becoming involved and enthusiastic through our priorities and leadership to make it more conducive to success, by creating a positive culture with shared values, that improves collaboration, raises morale, promotes effective communication, and maximises achievement.

Trust academies work collaboratively with each other as a ‘family of schools’ to engage with change. The Trust is not a separate body or group of people but rather one single entity embracing all our academies with one vision and a shared set of values.

All who are part of our community will engage with and model our shared values, to instill in our pupils the personal qualities: honesty and integrity, ambition, kindness, respect, courtesy, tolerance, and acquire life skills that will equip them for their future in an ever-changing world. The Trust has high expectations from our leaders and colleagues that will shape our engagement with our pupils and be reflected in our high aspirations for each child. They will develop qualities of resilience, determination, and confidence to face the challenges they will meet in life. High expectations of pupils’ behaviour ensure that pupils acquire positive attitudes to learning, leading to high achievement.

Our responsibility is to provide an environment where practitioners can collaborate, learn from each other, reflect, and engage with best practice.

We will ensure that the work of the Trust has a sustained impact upon school improvement by working closely with our academies to engage with and share best practice within the Trust but also with other Trusts both regionally and nationally.

Enrich

Enrichment is the process of facilitating a wide range of experiences through the breath of curriculum and professional development we provide both within and outside of the classroom. To ensure our children and colleagues are exposed to a wealth of cultures, experiences and opportunities that broaden their understanding, build their confidence and social skills, promote tolerance, and provide opportunities for self-reflection.

We will provide our children and families with regular quality opportunities, information, advice, and guidance to enrich their learning and to support our parents in fulfilling their roles as key partners in their child’s learning.

The Trust will work in partnership with its families. We offer members of our community opportunities to provide constructive feedback, to enrich our communities through an investment of their energies, time and experience, to contribute to the creation and maintenance of an exceptional school.

We believe in teaching a broad and challenging curriculum, enriched with holistic education, which will spark children’s imagination and create a lifelong love of learning. This seamless journey, enriched with great learning, fun experiences, and friendships, will provide a foundation for future success.

We will create an inclusive and enriched community, a diverse Trust committed to ensuring that no pupil is ignored, no family is unsupported. All are treated fairly and equitably, ensuring no child or family is left behind, through outstanding teaching and tailored pupil intervention.

We will enrich our pupils’ understanding of the world through exploring the cultures, languages, technical skills, and national traditions that define societies and shape civilizations.

We will build character, confidence, empathy, and experience, as we seek to enrich our children’s experiences and equip them with the right skills and knowledge to engage in debate with individuals and organisations. We ensure our children grow to be resolute and ambitious, with a zeal for life, and the confidence to create new opportunities and shape their own futures.
