The Wonder Paid Internship Programme 2024
For Mathematics, physics, chemistry and MFL (French & Spanish)
An Introduction to the Wonder Paid Internship Programme 2024
After an extremely successful Internship programme in 2023, we are delighted to once again be able to offer more young people an opportunity to find out why teaching is such an inspirational career choice.
Our internship programme combines professional development, talks from external speakers, a visit to one of our primary schools, planning a trip and of course an opportunity to teach our pupils. You receive dedicated mentorship, support, and training over the three-week period and in your final week, you can choose to teach your very first lesson. It is simply a privilege to see our interns flourish and utterly amazing to see them stand in front of their first class after just three weeks.

I had such a wonderful time during my internship, 3 weeks full of opportunities that I will never forget. I even got the opportunity to teach two full lessons!!! Everyone was very supportive and gave feedback both after the lesson and whilst I was planning it, which I really appreciated. All these experience really built my confidence, and this was only enhanced by the amazing people I met. It was an amazing time, sad it had to end, but I am so happy it happened.
The teaching internship gave me such an incredible insight into not only teaching lessons and helping out in classes, but also everything that goes on behind the scenes, ranging from planning an educational visit to marking year 7 tests. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Woldgate School, the support all the staff gave was amazing and the opportunity to teach an entire lesson helped me confirm that teaching is the career path I want to pursue. I would recommend this opportunity to anyone who is considering a path in teaching, the 3 weeks were very rewarding, and I look forward to teaching in a classroom again in the future.
