Choosing to complete my initial teacher training with the Wonder Learning Partnership was the best decision I have ever made. The support we receive as trainee teachers is above all expectations. We feel respected as individuals and are always made to feel comfortable. Wonder really does think of all the little things to help us on our journey to becoming teachers. They provide quality, invaluable CPD sessions that are personalised to our needs and respond to any concerns and needs with kindness and consideration.
I have wanted to be a teacher my whole life. Many of my family members past and present have worked throughout the age ranges of education, so it really was just a matter of time. I had previously worked in a secondary school before applying for primary teacher training. The transition between the age groups is amazing to experience and every day I spend in my placement school so far, the children have been a joy.
My placement school has been incredibly supportive and have enabled me to teach the full breadth of subjects with my class. All the staff have been welcoming and friendly. I have had opportunities to observe all the age ranges but have spent most of my time with one class. I have been using the schemes of work to plan and teach my lessons which are regularly observed by my mentor. Positive developmental feedback is then given. I really do feel like I am on my way to becoming a happy and successful primary school teacher. I recommend the Wonder Learning Partnership to any potential teachers out there as it feels like being part of a family supporting you through a challenging year.
