From a young age, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I’ve always been passionate about working with children and helping them reach their maximum potential. I recognise the power of education in changing lives, and I want to be part of that transformation, especially during those crucial early years of learning.
I’m enjoying the opportunity to work with children on my placement and seeing them grow academically as well as other areas of life. The best thing so far has been watching children grasp a new concept or overcome a challenge. Also, I’m enjoying building relationships with the pupils and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where they feel supported and excited to learn.
Training to be a primary school teacher with Wonder has been a great experience. The course is well-structured, practical, and filled with valuable insights and theory that has prepared me for real life situations in the classroom. The support I have received from my mentor and other members of Wonder has been great and I have learnt a lot from expert-led workshops. Fellow trainees have also been a great source of encouragement.
If you’re considering a career in education, passionate about teaching and committed to making a difference in children’s lives, I would recommend doing this Wonder student teacher training course. The training and hands on approach has helped build my confidence and skills for teaching.
