Pupils at Melbourne Primary School have taken their learning to a new level already this term by making replica blood to learn all about the different components it contains as part of their Circulatory System project.

This exciting project will explore the role of the circulatory system and its main parts, carrying out research to answer their own questions. They will look closely at the structure, functions and features of the heart.

The children will also learn about the components and functions of blood, making a representation of a separated blood sample and will go on to draw and label diagrams of each type of blood vessel and learn about their structure and function.

A fascinating and hands-on curriculum topic such as this really inspires the pupils and provides a great insight into potential career paths.
