The Wonder Learning Partnership Trust Board has established a Local Governing Committee (LGC) for each academy school to focus on challenging and supporting the quality of provision and educational outcomes for young people at academy level.
All of the LGCs within the WLP Trust, act as a committee of the Trust Board and have a crucial role to support the work of the Trust Board and its other committees by challenging and supporting the work of senior leaders in the running of the school. This can include:
| Championing | Aiming to achieve the best outcomes for our children and communicating the values of the school to stakeholders and the wider community. |
| Critical Friend | Scrutinising and an analytical approach to questioning and seeking ways for school improvement. |
| Challenging | Using effective questioning for the implementation and monitoring of the strategic priorities. |
| Collaborating | Working in a team for the benefit of our children’s education and the improvement of the school. |
| Contributing | Being actively aware of the performance, challenges and support required in the school. Ensuring key policies are effective in practice. |
| Responsibilities | Ensuring you are aware of the delegated responsibilities as set out in the Trust’s Scheme of Delegation. |
| Opportunities | To contribute to working parties and panels or join Trustee Committees |
