We are delighted and proud to announce an amazing set of results for our Year 13 students today with 80% of grades awarded A* to C. We are also very proud that 100% of our A Level Art & Design grades were A*, and 100% of our A Level French grades were awarded at least grade A.

Kerry Smith, Head of Sixth Form said: ‘These fantastic results reflect our Sixth Form students’ determination, resilience and ability during their courses, as well as over the last seven years at Woldgate School. Our Year 13 students truly embody our school motto; that ‘everything we do should be worthy, of great merit, character and value’, and these excellent results reflect this.’

Headteacher Luke Sloman said ‘At Woldgate School, we pride ourselves on knowing and caring for each of our pupils and students as individuals, and these great results are testament to both our students’ hard work, but also to the care and support provided to our students by my dedicated and talented colleagues. I would like to thank them for all the support they have given our students during their time at Woldgate Sixth Form. I would also like to thank parents and carers for all the support they have given their children, and our school over the years. By working together as a school community within the Wonder Learning Partnership, our parents, teachers, and support staff have ensured that our students have achieved the very best outcomes.’

Bradley Towse said, “I am very happy to get the grades I need to go to Leading Edge Aviation to train to be a pilot”.

Tom Munro commented, “I was very excited when I woke up this morning and checked UCAS and saw I got into my first-choice university.” Tom is going to study Engineering and Physics at Loughborough University.

Particular highlights included Maisie Howard, who achieved three A* and one A grade and Matthew Breare, who achieved three A* grades and a B grade. Both are heading to Cambridge University, where they will both be studying Natural Sciences.

Although the majority of our Year 13 students are going onto continue their studies at university, including medicine and Russell Group universities, these results will ensure that all our students have the best start in their adult lives, and are able to access the next stages of education, training or career they choose. We are immensely proud of them all and wish them the very best for the future.
