Chris Ellis Trust in a team of seasoned teaching professionals

Initially training as a vehicle mechanic, Chris now has over 25 years experience working in IT having returned to education to obtain qualifications in Business Information Systems. On qualifying, he took a job as Help Desk Manager at East Riding College then moved on to Data Officer, followed by a short stint as IT Developer at Clugston Construction before becoming School Information Manager at Longcroft School.  During 2019 this led to a secondment with the Wonder Learning Partnership and ultimately his current appointment as Director of a Technology, Systems and Data with the Trust.

During his career Chris has continued his studies, obtaining additional qualifications such as Prince 2 in Project Management and Microsoft Database Certification. Through his roles, he has also gained practical experience in many elements of IT from network and software installations to data management, reporting and the design of bespoke systems.

Outside of work, Chris is a keen astrophotographer.
