We are delighted and proud to announce another great set of results for our Year 13 students today, with the number of students achieving grades A to A* increasing from the excellent results achieved last year.

Kerry Smith, Head of Sixth Form said: ‘These excellent results reflect our Sixth Form students’ ability, determination and resilience during their courses, as well throughout their time at Woldgate School.  Our Year 13 students have clearly demonstrated our school motto; that ‘everything we do should be worthy, of great merit, character and value’, and these results reflect this.’

Headteacher Luke Sloman said ‘Everyone who works at Woldgate School pride themselves on knowing and caring for each of our pupils and students as individuals, and these results are testament to both our students’ hard work and dedication to their studies, but also to the care and support provided by my dedicated and talented colleagues.  I would also like to thank parents and carers for all the support they have given their children, and our school over the years.  By working together as a school community within the Wonder Learning Partnership, our parents, teachers, and support staff have ensured that our students have achieved the very best outcomes.’

Freddie Cockerill said “I am very happy to get the grades I need to study Geography at Loughborough”.

Alex Rose commented “I am really pleased with my results and excited to be studying Chemistry at Durham University.”

Particular highlights included Harriet Thompson, who achieved three A* and one A grade, and is heading to Durham University to study maths.

Although the majority of our Year 13 students are going onto continue their studies at university, including medicine and Russell Group universities, these results will ensure that all our students have the best start in their adult lives, and are able to access the next stages of education, training or career they choose.  We are immensely proud of them all and wish them the very best for the future.
