Louise Sandall & Pete Cutress

Pocklington Junior School
Louise Sandall & Pete Cutress Trust in a team of seasoned teaching professionals
Louise Sandall
I am a delighted to be appointed Parent Governor and from September 2025 took the post of Co-Chair Governor.  I look forward to contributing to such a highly regarded and reputable school. I currently have one daughter attending the school and two others who have recently transitioned to secondary school. All my children have received fantastic support from every member of the teaching and support staff, and I welcome the opportunity to become involved in the school.
I have been a member of governing bodies within the education sector for 10 years, more latterly 8 years in a locally authority maintained primary school. I am passionate about education and want the best for every child, every child matters – their time at school is crucial if they are to realise their potential and develop key social and life skills.
I have an in-depth HR and business background, I hope to be able to use some of these skills along with my experience of being a governor to help support the school.  My interests are varied and include health and well being, swimming and spending time with my 3 children. I look forward to contributing my time, energy and professional skills to this role, in support of our school’s ongoing standing and success.
Peter Cutress

I’m really pleased to have been elected as a Parent Governor and from September 2025 took the post of Co-Chair Governor.  I’m a parent of three children (one currently at the school and two that will be pupils in the future) and have lived in Pocklington for just over six years since moving back to Yorkshire.  The school plays a vital role in securing our children’s future success, and I’m committed to supporting Pocklington Junior School to continue to deliver in this regard.

I have an international business background, predominantly within the automotive industry in employed and consultant/advisory roles.  I’ve spent the last 12 years focused on adult education within the sector and am currently responsible for a diverse team in a global setting.  I hope to be able to use my skills, experience and time to work with the other governors, school management team and teaching staff to support the ongoing success of the school and its students.
