Bringing awe and Wonder to young minds

Bringing awe and Wonder to young minds
We are committed to providing dynamic, inspirational teaching that is accessible to all. We believe passionately that a first-class education should be an entitlement rather than a choice for parents and pupils. We realise this ambition through our ongoing commitment to providing children with a sense of Wonder in all that we do.

We embrace the values of educate, empower, engage, and enrich to create a remarkable learning environment. Our mission is to provide a transformative education that goes beyond the traditional boundaries, fostering a love of learning and empowering pupils to reach their full potential.

We want to ensure every child receives the very best teaching, follows a challenging and exciting curriculum that broadens their understanding and provides a wealth of knowledge, not only within specific subjects, but across disciplines and time. We will expose them to the true majesty and wonder of creation, within nature, across the world, in different cultures and societies.

The Wonder Curriculum is intended to provide every child with a lifelong love of learning. We aim to educate, enrich and empower every child within our care and engage our colleagues in the design, implementation, and assessment of an inspirational curriculum.

We recognise the value of every single aspect of the curriculum and ensure that our programmes of study build core knowledge, provide children with an understanding of the world, and ensure all children have the opportunity to develop technical and performance skills in a wide range of subjects.

For everyone at Wonder, the success of the curriculum will be its diversity and creativity in ensuring we educate children to be comfortable and confident learners in a variety of disciplines and contexts. We do this because the future will require individuals who can adapt in changing times. We are ambitious for what we teach and have designed our curriculum to ensure it is of high quality and rich in cultural knowledge and experiences – meeting and exceeding the demands of the National Curriculum. We also aim to enrich the curriculum with trips, visiting speakers, and exciting resources such as virtual reality and other STEM resources. From the very beginning in EYFS we believe fun and wonder are vital to a child’s learning. It’s even in our name – Wonder.

Our curriculum aims to empower children from all backgrounds. It is clearly sequenced and aims to reduce social inequality and overcome barriers to learning by focusing on the key prerequisites that children must learn to make excellent progress.
